What is it? The Magdalene Project was formed during the summer of
2003 as a dozen college girls gathered for prayer and direction. Through
the Potter's House, which opened in January 2002, scores of young women
have been a part of book studies on women's issues and small groups for mentoring
and discipling. The Magdalene Project continues to find ways to encourage
and strengthen every woman who walks into the Potter's House and use resources
beyond these walls to relay a message of wholeness to women today.
Why should I? The Magdalene Project desires to meet the need of
each individual woman as we address the needs of our culture. Each woman
needs to be known and accepted for who she is. Building safe relationships
among us is a priority. Out of these bonds of friendship come accountability
for change and growth. Spending time together in a small group of women creates
an environment to inspire such progression.
Through these groups, young women have learned to cultivate a daily personal
time with their Creator, the only one who knows each of them entirely.
In this, they have found abundant healing, purpose, significance, and fulfillment.
